Three schools have inhabited the wonderful building in Gayton Road with the first school, Harrow County School for Boys opening its doors for pupils in 1911. The grammar school flourished but a change in educational ideaology brought about the birth of Gayton School in 1972. Ten years ago, Harrow High School was established and today is recognised by Ofsted as an outstanding school.
Plans are already being discussed on how to celebrate 100 years of our very special school. The Old Gaytonians Association still has a strong bond with the school and we are delighted to be working with them to ensure a magnificent celebration. If you would like to be part of the 100 year event or just want to know about what we are planning, please get in touch. I would be interested in hearing from you if you attended the school at any time in its history.
I look forward to hearing from you
