Learner Voice

We believe that learners should have a strong voice in shaping the curriculum and how it is taught. Our Learner Voice Programme gives young people from each year group opportunities to participate in regular reviews of teaching and learning.   Attributes of effective learning, which here at Harrow High we call the ‘4 Rs’ (resourceful, resilient, reflective, reciprocal), includes teaching young people how to use this common language in order to improve how they learn.

Here are some comments from our Year 8 learners:

"people are freindly"

"there are lots of good facilities, l like the computer rooms"

"there's football and cricket and basketball and........."

"I get lots of merits for good work"

"the teachers are kind, funny and teach me lots of things l didn't know"

"we like our uniform - it's simple and plain"

"teachers are polite"

"you can speak to teachers"

"sports facilities are brilliant"

"chicken wraps - yum!"
